More piping hot tea about Taylor Swift and Joe Alwyn‘s split has dropped and my fkn heart is about to be ripped out after listening to Midnights with this new goss in mind.
Alongside the ruckus that is surrounding the Aussie Eras Tour dates and the Matty Healy dating rumours, more gossip about Alwyn and Swift’s split has come to light.
OFC, the hot new goss comes straight from pop culture curator Deuxmoi (@deuxmoi) who spilled a bunch of tea about the breakup on the latest Deux U podcast episode. But, of course, the gossip must be taken with a grain of salt.
The tea spilling began when someone named Jocelyn left a voicemail for Deuxmoi, asking if she had any extra info about where Swift and Alwyn currently stand and if they had any contact since the split.
The tea queen replied by saying that she doesn’t think the exes are in contact at all.
Deuxmoi spilled more tea, reading a submission from an anonymous informant who previously called Alwyn a “prick” in another episode.
According to the anonymous source, Alwyn was allegedly “borderline disparaging about Taylor wanting to be back in the spotlight” towards the end of their relationship.
“He was used to the Reputation and pandemic Taylor, who was happy being a homebody with him and hiding away in England. In musty cabins and basically never going anywhere high profile,” the source said.
“Then when the pandemic waned, she started working on Midnights and started planning the tour… when she and her team felt very strongly she was likely to get an Oscar nomination for her [Where The Crawdads Sing] song, she began to get more and more excited about maybe attending some events with him.”
The anonymous informant claimed that due to the Oscar’s excitement, Swift assumed Alwyn would join her on the red carpet, but he allegedly “scoffed and sneered at all of it”.
“[Alwyn] openly was disparaging about how stupid high profile restaurants were. How lame award shows were and honestly, Taylor loves an award,” the source alleged.
Since the piping hot tea dropped, many swifties have connected the goss to her song “Bejeweled”.
“She literally says all of this in Bejeweled,” one user wrote.
“I don’t get why he would choose to be with one of the most famous people in the world to begin with then if he hates all of that?” a second person added.
“Bye, Joe. Best believe she’s still bejeweled,” a third wrote.
Look, as mentioned earlier, every piece of goss no matter where it came from, needs to be taken with a grain of salt. I’d like to hope that Swift and Alwyn ended things peacefully.
But with this Deuxmoi tea in mind, “Bejeweled” and “You’re Losing Me” is going to hurt even more.
