Britney Spears is deservingly going off on vacation and having a Hot Girl Summer meets rest and relaxation weekend after revealing the distressing truth behind her conservatorship hearing. And, after hearing what really went on under her conservatorship, I absolutely fkn love this for her.
According to a source via Page Six, the “Gimme More” singer has flown off to Hawaii with her boyfriend Sam Asghari. Per another source via Access, the pair are currently on Spears’ fave island Maui and about to head off to another location.
To be honest, given everything she’s been through, it’s the least of the least she deserves right now.
“The couple just want to get away,” the source said.
“They support each other, they are the perfect pair, and they are looking forward to the future and living the life that they want to live.”
Over on Instagram, Asghari shared a collection of random videos of the pair on their plane ride to Hawaii, including an adorable (and now extremely heartbreaking given her circumstances) clip of Britney Spears with a puppy dog filter and giggling. Please, just let my girl be free and happy like she is here.
Earlier this week, Spears revealed what really has been going on under her conservatorship controlled by her father Jamie Spears for the last 13 years, and it’s a lot worse than you could even imagine. Like, a whooole lot worse.
“I have an IUD in my body right now that won’t let me have a baby and my conservators won’t let me go to the doctor to take it out,” Spears said. “I wanna be able to get married and have a baby.”
She said she intends to sue her family for how they’ve treated her.
“I told the whole world I’m happy — it’s a lie,” she said. “I’ve been in denial. I am traumatised. I’m not happy. I can’t sleep.”
“I want to own my money, and for this to end, and my boyfriend to drive me in his fucking car,” she said.
“I don’t feel like I can live a full life,” she said. “I don’t even believe in therapy. I think you take it to God.”
Shortly after her hearing, a 2018 video of her performing while suffering from a 40° fever resurfaced. Britney also explained in a recent Instagram caption the devastating reason why she was lying about being okay.
