An ex Britney Spears backup dancer has made a TikTok video in which he shares some behind the scenes tea about what the singer was like to work with. Friends, as you’ve probably come to expect, it turns out that Spears was capable, present and energised throughout the rehearsals. Who’d’ve thunk?
Dancer, choreographer and TikTok user @nickfpauley (Nick Pauley) has shared an old video of himself and other dancers learning some new choreography with Britney Spears. In the vid, the choreography being taught was created, memorised and then performed by Spears herself.
This would seem to counter the claims in the past that Spears needed to be under a conservatorship because she couldn’t do much for herself, including making important decisions around her work and money.
In fact, during yesterday’s 30-minute court speech, Spears even mentioned her rigorous choreography routines which she taught herself.
“I actually did most of the choreography, meaning I taught my dancers my new choreography myself,” she told Judge Brenda Penny.
“I take everything I do seriously. There’s tons of video with me at rehearsals. I wasn’t good, I was great.”
Now, Nick Pauley has shared one of these rehearsal videos with some insider tea as to how much Spears actually controlled the room.
“That’s me right there and I am a firsthand witness to Britney commanding a room, making decisions, speaking coherently and teaching us her own choreography,” he says in the TikTok.
“For years I’ve been so confused as to why she was under a conservatorship when she
was acting like this.
“It’s crazy to think that all the other times that she was acting weird she was just on Lithium. Free Britney. Britney, I love you. You didn’t book me that day but I still love you and I hope you get what you deserve.”

So if everyone around Britney is echoing her sentiments of being completely capable of running her own life, it really makes you wonder why she’s still under this conservatorship.
Learning, adapting, teaching and memorising choreography is difficult for the best of us.
