The actor received the prestigious honour – Commander of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire – from Prince Charles.

Since breaking into the industry in 2001, Hardy has gone on to star in countless films including Black Hawk Down, Mad Max: Fury Road, The Revenant, Inception, The Dark Knight Rises, Legend, and Dunkirk. Most recently, the actor starred in the Marvel flick Venom – in cinemas now.

Hardy, a close friend of the royal familyattended Prince Harry‘s and Meghan Markle‘s royal wedding back in May. Then there was also that time Prince William, Prince Harry, and Hardy all dressed up as storm troopers for a very random cameo in Star Wars: The Last Jedi.

His next film, due in cinemas November 2019, is all about the infamous gangster Al Capone, otherwise known as Scarface.

We’re still waiting on a trailer but if one of Hardy’s Instagram posts from set is any indication, we’re in for another bloody experience.
