Last week I signed off a story about Jarrod Woodgate slamming ex Keira Maguire in an explosive gossip rag interview with “and now we sit back, relax and wait for Keira’s savage clap back”. Well ladies and gents, the time has come.

During her appearance on KIIS 1065’s Kyle & Jackie O Show, Maguire reveals that she hasn’t seen Woodgate since he dumped her via text four weeks ago after the pair had a big ol’ barney.
“We had a little bit of an argument then he went back to the farm and we kind of chatted and I was like ‘I’m a little bit upset’ and he was like ‘yeah, I don’t think this is working out” she said.
“I wasn’t expecting that, I thought we could’ve resolved it. I haven’t even seen him since it happened and that was like four weeks ago. We have spoken on the phone but we haven’t actually spoken in person which is a little disappointing.”

She goes on to say that the pair were doing just fine until Bachelor In Paradise aired which caused a major strain on their relationship.
“We were really good up until the show, we were together for six months before the show aired and then watching it back, we really struggled. I think seeing each other in that light was really overwhelming and we just never really recovered from it,” she admits, adding that she reckons the pair should’ve gone to couple’s therapy.
“We probably should have spoken to someone because I don’t think you really explain what you go through when you’re watching yourself back and watching them dating and liking other people. It’s very overwhelming.”

Watching Jarrod’s portrayal on the show also made her question his intentions.
“It made me feel really insecure to see how flippant he was with his emotions. I really struggled watching that back going ‘oh, does he even like me?’ Of course he did but I think he’s definitely one that-
“Falls hard and quick?” Jackie O adds.
“Yeah and when that happens obviously it’s going to end as fast as it happens, so.”

The hosts then probed Keira on Jarrod’s claim that her Instagram obsession sparked the breakdown of their relationship.
“Look there probably is some truth to it,” she admits. “I think when you’re in the spotlight and you meet someone there’s so much extra pressure from your followers, they have these expectations of what you should and shouldn’t be doing and how many photos you should be posting. I’d get constant messages of people being like ‘are you broken up with Jarrod? Where are the photos?’ So I felt obligated and I guess I probably did put that pressure on him but I think saying I’m obsessed is a little bit of a cop out and to break up with someone over that is also a cop out. These are all very fickle comments and I think there’s a lot more substance to what we had and to just say ‘I broke up with her over Instagram’ is insulting.”
On the topic of his fam, she says that while moving in with them was “overwhelming”, they were “amazing” to her however she saw red flags when Jarrod refused to move out.
“I moved from Sydney to Melbourne in with his family and we actually had plans to move out but when it came to that time he was like ‘nah, I’m not going anywhere’ and I was like ‘okay, I’m a 32-year-old woman, I don’t want to be living with your parents.’”
As Jarrod was always busy with work, Keira revealed that she would “only see him on the weekends” which, frankly, I find v. suss.
“If I was a little bit involved with my phone he probably did take it a bit personal but have a chat with me about it mate, don’t go to the media and say you broke up with me for that reason and you haven’t even spoken to me about it.”

And now for the topic we know you’re ~dying~ to read about: will Keira be Australia’s next Bachelorette?
“I feel like it’s a bit fresh, I just broke up with a guy,” she coyly responded. Then when the hosts said that they reckon four weeks is enough time to be over him, she said:
“You think four weeks is enough? Okay, let’s do it! Nah, just joking,” adding: “Four weeks is enough time, I’ve definitely done enough crying.”
Jackie O then asked what she’d be like as a Bachelorette and how she’d stand out from the likes of Sophie Monk and Georgia Love.
“I think I’m really honest and I feel like if they didn’t bring good enough guys I’d say ‘okay, let’s scrap then and start again. So I feel like we need to regroup and chat about the situation because it’s not okay.’”
The jury’s still out on this one as she continued to dance around the burning question.
“I mean I’ve just broken up with a guy. I think that it’s all about timing,” she says. “If I’m even single, who knows? I’m a pretty good catch like I’m probs not gonna be single for that long, let’s face it.”
So what can Jarrod do to mend things with Keira? Well, she’s ~conveniently~ teamed up with Deliveroo as part of their breakup pizza launch where you can send your ex a broken heart-shaped pizza after dumping them.
“Jarrod, Deliveroo are doing their first ever breakup pizza and if you’re listening please order one with extra pepperoni, that’ll make up for everything,” she pleads to her ex. “I don’t ask for much, all I want is a bloody pepperoni pizza with my breakup.”
Seriously, what are the odds of Jarrod and Keira breaking up JUST as she partnered with Deliveroo for their first ever breakup pizza? Uncanny!
