‘GoT’ Stars Form Band Called ‘Brotherhood Without Banjos’ & We Can’t Deal

Despite all the snow, ice, murderous legions of the undead, criminally insane power-hungry queens and constant threat of accidentally shagging someone you’re related to, the world of ‘Game of Thrones‘ seems like a pretty fun place to hang out in if you’re an actor, actually.

Case in point: a series of videos uploaded to Instagram by Norwegian actor Kristofer Hivju, who plays fan favourite Tormund Giantsbane, the red-headed Wildling (and number one suitor for Brienne of Tarth‘s affections).

The first one, posted on August 25, features Rory McCann, better known as The Hound, and Hivju, both in full ‘GoT’ wardrobe, singing old-timey song ‘Yellow Bird‘ with admirable gusto as McCann strums the shit out of a guitar.

It already seemed too good to be true that two of our faves from the show were jamming out together between scenes – and then yesterday, Hivju posted the following:

The behind-the-scenes band has gained two new members – Iain Glen (Jorah Mormont) and Richard Dormer (Beric Dondarrion) – they’re playing fucken’ Tom Waits on a ukulele, and they’ve got themselves a name: the Brotherhood Without Banjos.

I am fully aware that Hivju is joking when he says they’re working on an album (called ‘What will fate bring us???‘) and I am 100% serious when I say GET ME ON THAT PREORDER LIST. This is the best collab to happen to the music world since Beyoncé & Nicki‘s ‘Feelin’ Myself‘, and I am here. For. It.
