No matter what comes next in Game Of Thrones, fans can be sure the series has already experienced its high point: forget the Red Wedding, the White Walkers‘ impending terror or Jon Snow’s impossibly shapely bum, we’re talking about Tormund Giantsbane’s (Kristofer Hivju) leer at Brienne of Tarth (Gwendoline Christie) in Season 6.
Truly, a masterful representation of instant barbarian infatuation. And it’s a look that Christie has confirmed didn’t end with that frost-bitten scene.
In a lively chat with Seth Meyers on Late Night, Christie confirmed that Hivju hasn’t cut it with the playful weirdness, and that his micro-characterisation now includes horny chewing.
“He is into me, and he likes to continue being in character even off set,” Christie says.
“He will chart chewing a sandwich wildly at me, start masticating wildly at me. Really making love to that sandwich as he eyeballs me. So strong. Eyes like lasers, boring right at me.”
The actor, who reminded the audience that she’s classically trained and should be able to withstand such a glare, said “I was not expecting the power, the magnitude of such intense sexual intention to pour out of a man’s eyes.”
Wow. We thought we were floored by the look.
She goes on to describe a fan asking for a selfie at a less-than-opportune moment, to which we can say we’d much rather have a Wildling warrior crack on to us than go through her real-life ordeal. Catch the chat below:
