Khal Drogo Met Tormund IRL For the 1st Time & They’re Already Warrior Bros

Game Of Thrones is almost over, partly because the story is hurtling towards a natural conclusion, but mostly because there are too few characters left alive to prop up further seasons of the fantasy epic.

As we await the show’s last outing, it’s fun to imagine how different the saga could have been if certain characters didn’t meet their gory demise. Thankfully, a brand-spanking new Instagram post from Jason Momoa has given us a wonderful untold story to contemplate: the mythical friendship of Momoa’s Khal Drogo and Kristofer Hivju’s wildling Tormund Giantsbane.

Photos from a Game Of Thrones cast and crew meet-up in Belfast shows the pair bro-ing out, in what appears to be their first-ever meeting. “Super honored to once [be] apart of this show,” Momoa writes.

“I love seeing all my friends and new ones [Hivju] your a fucking legend.”

Don’t for a second get to thinking that Hivju wasn’t in on the Insta action too, ’cause old mate also posted his barbarian selfies.

Bless ’em.

Momoa also landed himself a sneaky snap with Game Of Thrones co-creator D.B. Weiss, Ser Davos actor Liam Cunningham, and a little-known fella by the name of Kit HaringtonJon Snow himself.

So, there you have it: hanging out with an undead King of the North and the most famous smuggler in the Seven Kingdoms isn’t as fun as bending the elbow with the thirstiest mofo north of the Wall.

Game of Thrones season 8 is currently in production. Maybe, just maybe, some of that occult goodness could bring Momoa back to the fray.
