Lovato is reportedly expected to leave hospital in the coming days and will attend rehab to begin her recovery.

“Demi’s turned the corner and is doing much better,” a source told E! News. “She will be released in the next few days and the plan is for her to go to rehab. She is starting to grasp the severity of what happened and that she almost died.”

Another source told the publication that the incident was a major wake up call for the musician.

“She slipped up and thought she could handle it. This is obviously a huge wake up call.”

“Demi doesn’t want to die and she’s very grateful to be alive. She will be leaving the hospital and heading straight to rehab. Her family has been by her side supporting her and is getting her the help she needs.”
