Charli XCX Drops Another Fresh Bop To Kick Your Weekend Off

Charli XCX has another single out and it’s a  p e a k  summer bop in the club… which sucks because we’re trapped in the depths of winter at the present moment but hey, at least the tune will raise our spirits a ton.

The single’s called Girls Night Out and is giving off serious pres’ vibes. Or you can chuck it on the Spotify during the Uber ride out into the city.

Although, somehow and magically the song also has the vibes for a chill night in with your Lush stash and a quality romcom.

It’s just a win-win all ’round.

You can check out the tune, below:

Interestingly enough, unlike her iconic song Boys, Girls Night Out banishes the dudes quite literally with the lyrics “No boys, no boys, no boys”.

I mean, fair enough.

The official release of Girls Night Out follows the tunes from last month, Focus and No Angel.

Meanwhile, Charli’s having the time of her life on ol’ mate Taylor Swift’s Reputation tour.

Camila Cabello’s also there because well… this is Taylor Swift we’re talking about:

Earlier this year, Charli also featured on Rita Ora’s controversial single Girls. The song attracted criticism from the LGBTQ+ community and allies with many suggesting the lyrics promote the sexualisation and simplification of bisexual and queer identifying women.

Speaking to the Rolling Stone, the 25-year-old responded to criticisms from fellow artists and fans saying:

“Of course, the intention of the song was never to hurt anybody. None of the artists on this song would ever want to upset or hurt anyone.”

Charli also told the publication she “really wants to learn from this situation.”
