It’s generally poor form to tell a journalist they’re a fucking idiot while on camera, mostly because the payoff is so small. Barge into a live cross and you’ll likely ruin a few hours’ worth of set-up; hijack a prerecorded segment with your bulk swears and they’ll usually just edit you out of the final content.
Usually. Not so for Infowars and one particularly gutsy kid.
The conspiracy theory hotbed and home of snake oil salesman Alex Jones recently sent megaphone-holder Owen Shroyer to cover an Austin, Texas march against US President Donald Trump’s call to end the DACA program. After badgering a series of attendees, Shroyer came across one particularly youthful demonstrator who instantly recognised what was up.
More specifically, he walked up to a girl and asked “how are you, young man?”

That clip has since done the rounds online, with Infowars receiving an utter shellacking for, well, existing in the first place. Seriously. They’re cooked.
The full exchange further explores the ridiculousness of a grown-ass man attempting to wrest #content out of a child, and it also features Shroyer moralising on the girl’s language. Funny, considering the rest of the video showcases him yelling chaotically about the risks of fluoride in tap water.

Perhaps most stunning is Shroyer’s insistence that no, he wasn’t owned by the young girl’s perfectly justified response. His Twitter feed has already ballooned with trolly tweets attempting to cast the youngster in a bad light.
