NZ Police’s Latest Recruitment Vid Has Gone Viral For All The Right Reasons

Is there anything not to like about our closest neighbours? New Zealand‘s got a kick-ass prime minister who absolutely roasted Donald Trump straight to his fucken face, an abundance of natural beauty, zero venomous snakes, and now a somehow-adorable police recruitment video. It’s not FAIR.

But it is super funny. The two and a half minute clip, dubbed (by the NZ police service) ‘The World’s Most Entertaining Police Recruitment Video‘ is designed to get more women and minorities interested in being cops, and as such showcases the diversity of the NZ police. And also their sense of humour.

There’s seventy actual Kiwi cops in the vid, including Black Ferns captain Fiao’o Fa’amausili and Sergeant Sonny Iosefo, who you might remember from last year’s viral police running man vid.

This li’l clip also features a police cat, a very compelling pedestrian crossing dance, the New Zealand Police Pipe Band, a bunch of sight gags, and a charming quest to make New Zealand “the safest country in the world“.

It’s already racked up more than 2 million views since it was posted yesterday arvo, and people are bloody loving it.

Watch it below – and if you end up brainstorming ideas on how to defect to the Land of the Long White Cloud in order to be a breakdancing cop, know that you’re definitely not alone.

If you’ll excuse me, I’ll be perfecting my standing somersault technique. Only the best of the best for Aotearoa.
