There aren’t many things to celebrate right now, but here’s one: Woolies is selling Sydney Royal Easter Show show bags this weekend, so you won’t have to miss out on *checks notes* a goodie bag made for kids. Whatever. We’re living through a pandemic, baby, and if that means regressing by a few years (or decades), then so be it.
Starting from today (that’s Wednesday 8 April), Woolies will be selling a bunch of themed show bags for $30 a pop, including: Harry Potter, Friends, Stranger Things, Pokemon, Barbie and Hot Wheels. Sadly, Bertie Beetle show bags didn’t make the cut. I know, I know. I’m devastated, too.
If you can’t make it in store – for isolation reasons, etc – then you can order the show bags online here. There are 12 show bags on offer in total, and I can only recognise six of them, which is probably because I am 30 years old and not 10. Hatchimals? Not a clue.
Anyway! The Easter Show might not be going ahead this year, but you can still get the best part of it at home. I’m very sorry if the show bags were not ALSO your best part, but please don’t send me hate mail about it, because it’s really trivial in the scheme of things and would waste both of our time.
