PHEW: Tom Hanks & Rita Wilson’s Tattooed Son Says They’re “Not Even That Sick”

Hollywood stars Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson are “not even that sick” despite being diagnosed with coronavirus, according to their son Chet Hanks.

Taking to Instagram after his father confirmed his infection with the virus, Chet Hanks, 29, said his parents were in relatively good spirits.

“They’re both in Australia right now, because my dad was shooting a movie down there, but I just got off the phone with them,” he said.

“They both are fine. They’re not even that sick. They’re not worried about it, they’re not tripping, but they’re going through the necessary health precautions, obviously.”

In solid news for fans of the couple, the occasional rapper (yes, Tom Hanks’ son has released rap music) said “I don’t think it’s anything to be too worried about.”

Earlier, Tom Hanks took to social media to outline the situation to his followers.

“We felt a bit tired, like we had colds, and some body aches. Rita had some chills that came and went. Slight fevers too,” Hanks said.

“To play things right, as is needed in the world right now, we were tested for the Coronavirus, and were found to be positive.”

The two-time Academy Award winner said both he and Wilson “will be tested, observed, and isolated for as long as public health and safety requires.”

At least 122 people have tested positive for the virus in Australia, with the World Health Organisation today declaring the global coronavirus outbreak a pandemic.

Hanks and Wilson are not the only high-profile entertainers to have contracted the virus, either. The NBA today suspended the 2019-2020 season after Utah Jazz star Rudy Gobert reportedly tested positive.

As Chet Hanks would say, it’s all a bit “crazy.”
