QLD Man Who Abused Malcolm Turnbull In A Pub Charged With Attempted Murder

A 26-year-old Queensland man has been charged with attempted murder after an incident which police say left a woman with “significant” facial injuries.

Queensland Police were called to the Carina Heights address around 12:10am following reports of a disturbance.

The man, who police say is known to the woman, was arrested on one charge of attempted murder, along with the contravention of a domestic violence order.

Nine News journalist Rob Morrison reports the man is the same person who was removed from the Carindale Hotel last month for allegedly hurling abuse at Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull.

The man is scheduled to face Brisbane Magistrates Court today.
