Some Brisbane Unit Went Off At Turnbull For Getting Served At The Pub First

I think it’s fair to say that we all want to the world to be a more peaceable, friendly place, in which we can all embrace one another free of anger, violence and hatred. That’s a reasonable shared goal. If we ever – God willing – reach that utopian point in history, I still think it would be okay to be insanely pissed off when someone cuts in front of you to get served at the bar.

Such was the plight of one particular man at the Carindale Hotel in Brisbane, who dealt with this anger by hurling abuse at the bloke who got served before him. The miscalculation on this guy’s part was the fact the man he yelled at was none other than Malcolm Turnbull.

According to the Sydney Morning Herald, the man hurled abuse at Turnbull at about 7:10pm before being moved on.

“There was no altercation but the man was yelling abuse, so he was moved away, taken outside and moved on,” a police spokesman said. “He was fairly intoxicated and fairly apologetic once he realised what he was doing.”

News Corp describes the man – who they say also flipped the bird at the Prime Minister – as “an angry landscaper” which really is just a wonderful way to be described in the national news.

Queensland Police issued the bloke with an infringement notice for failing to leave a licensed premises.

Look I don’t necessarily want to endorse the actions of this guy… but are these the words of a man who deserves to be served first at the bar?
