Taylor Swift will perform at the 2019 Melbourne Cup Carnival, after Victorian Racing Club confirmed her long-rumoured appearance this morning.

Swift, who last appeared in Australia for 2018’s Reputation tour, is slated to perform two (2) of her new tracks in the Mounting Yard on Tuesday, November 5.
(As an aside, we are also going to avoid using the phrase ‘mounting yard’ ever again. Horrible collection of syllables.)
The gig has been billed as Swift’s only public appearance on her trip to Australia, meaning fans will just have to deal with horses being whipped nearby if they want to catch a glimpse of the Lover artist.
Swift is not the only entertainment billed for the day. In addition to the ritualistic beating of animals, Aussie artists including Ball Park Music, Dean Lewis, and Birds of Tokyo will perform at The Park.
