Taylor Swift Australian Tour 2018

The time has come, my dear friends, where we rejoice in knowing that the Taylor Swift Australian tour 2018 is here and in full swing. The Reputation Stadium Tour has already hit Melbourne and Perth, and we’re all absolutely bloode beside ourselves in anticipation for the SydneyBrisbane, and Auckland stops. She’s here. She’s breathing the same air as us mere plebs. We are not worthy.

So we decided to give you, the Swifty stans, a run-down of everything you can expect at the mammoth arena shows. Everything from dates, to set times, to what the venues are like, and even our prediction of what T.Swift’s setlist will look like, so you can fully plan your experience at the 2018 Taylor Swift Australian tour, right down to the pee breaks.

Also if you’re committing wholeheartedly and doing more than one show, this is probably going to be your essential guide to keep yourself syncronised to Swift time. And if you’re headed to the Brisbane show, it’s vital to remember to PRINT YOUR TICKET, because they’re not scanning mobile ones.

Where Is The Taylor Swift Tour Happening?

After already making stops at Optus Stadium in Perth and Etihad Stadium in Melbourne, Taylor’s headed to Sydney to play ANZ Stadium on FridayNovember 2, and then on to Brisbane to shake it off at The Gabba on TuesdayNovember 6th before skipping across the Tasman Sea to hit Mt Smart Stadium in Auckland.

What’s The Best Way To Get There?

A heap of roads will be closed across Brisbane’s Wollongabba on Nov 6, so don’t think you can just catch a taxi right up to the front gates of the Gabba before the show. Brissy authorities are recommending that people heading to see Taylor Swift grab public transport, which is free from midday if you’ve got a ticket on you, and there are hundreds of extra buses being put on the routes to make sure everyone gets there safely.

There are also shuttle buses running every couple of minutes from Carindale, Chermside, Ann Street in the CBD and Eight Mile Plains from 4.30pm, and will be shuttling people back to those spots for 90 minutes after the show.

Who’s Supporting?

The supports for each show are UK‘s queen of super-fun PC pop, Charli XCX and New Zealand‘s shimmering indie-pop sibling dream team, BROODS.

What Are The Set Times?

Gates to the shows open at 5.30pm for all you keen beans wanting to get in there and grab your seats/merch/etc.

The first set from BROODS kicks off at 7pm sharp, and it’s said that each of the supports sets lasting around 40 minutes with a 10-minute changeover between acts. In previous shows across the US, Taylor has begun her set at 9pm but we’ll keep this updated with firm times as soon as we know.

How Many Costume Changes Does Taylor Have?

Considering her set is broken up into six separate acts (!!!) Taylor Swift’s Aussie leg of the Reputation Tour has her apparently doing at least eight costume changes throughout the night.

Each look sets the vibe for the tracks she’s performing, and they range from a sequined leotard with a hooded bolero, to a black and gold sequined jacket and matching leotard to sync with her giant snake stage production and detailed snake mic, a green military-style jacket (also sequined) with bespoke Reputation Tour patches (with a leotard underneath) to a rainbow flapper-style dress (also sequined, no leotard) for a big number with Charli XCX and Georgia Nott from BROODS.

Taylor Swift likes sequins and leotards, can ya blame her?

Are Tickets Still On Sale?

Yep! Tickets for both the Sydney and Brisbane shows on the Taylor Swift Australian tour are still up for grabs, you can get tickets for the shows over on the Live Nation website.

What’s On Taylor’s Set List?

OK MASSIVE SPOILERS AHEAD, DO NOT READ THE NEXT BIT IF YOU WANT TO GO IN BLIND. I HAVE PUT THIS AT THE END SPECIFICALLY.

Taylor Swift’s setlist has pretty much stayed the same for the Reputation Tour, changing only a single song in the acoustic part of Act Three at the Melbourne show at Marvel Stadium.

At the Melbourne leg, Taylor busted out ‘Only Me When I’m With You‘, the first time she’s played the track on the Reputation Tour, and the first time since 2009 that she’s performed the track from her 2006 self-titled debut record, Taylor Swift.
