The First ‘Stranger Things’ S3 Teaser Unveils New Hangout & Potential Release Date

Ready to get ~strange~ all over again? Season 3 of the hit Netflix series Stranger Things is on its way and a fresh new teaser has just dropped, but it’s not quite what you’d expect.

In the 1.5 minute long video that was released via the show’s official Twitter page this morning, a new shopping centre called Starcourt Mall opens up in the boys’ hometown of Hawkins, Indiana and is described as “one of the finest shopping facilities in America and beyond.”

This is likely to be the new hangout for our four heroes Mike (Finn Wolfhard), Will (Noah Schnapp), Lucas (Caleb McLaughlin), and Dustin (Gaten Matazrazzo) and the workplace for Steve Harrington (Joe Keery) who is spotted working at an ice-cream parlour.

The highly anticipated third season of the acclaimed series does not yet have a set release date, but it’s likely to be this time next year based on the “coming next summer!” text that flashes across the screen at the end of the video.

Season 2 was a smash hit, scoring 12 Emmy Award nominations, including its second bid for best drama series and supporting acting noms for stars David Harbour and Millie Bobby Brown.

Meanwhile, fans have expressed their sheer excitement over the upcoming season with a bunch of overjoyed tweets:
