Christina “Xtina” Aguilera has blessed us with some 90s goss while she took part in James Corden’s Carpool Karaoke a couple of days ago. Of course, between casually showing us her incredible vocal range and runs, Christina flung us back to the days of the Mickey Mouse Club.
That ol’ thang starred four of today’s y’huge A-listers including Christina herself, Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake, and Ryan Gosling.
So James asked if pre-teen Christina ever had a crush on a pre-teen Ryan but as it turns out, she didn’t because she was far too bedazzled by pre-teen Justin Timberlake.
Fair enough.
“Even back then, he had swag,” Christina said.
But wait, there’s more.
“There was me and Britney – well now, you know – there was a thing back then.”
What a mood – a puppy love triangle between Britney, Christina, and Justin. What a life, what a life.
But wait, there’s even more.
“I know Ryan pretty much… he did have a crush on Britney.”
Mates, can you imagine what could’ve and could not have been?
Iconic.
And yes, the above picture is from a Britney x Justin fan Instagram account even though they’ve been broken up for YEARS.
The two previously dated from 1999 to 2002 and were the ultimate hip and happening iconic couple of the 00s and the ultimate goals until they broke up wounding us all. Until Cry Me A River came out and we all got jamming again.
Anywhoo, despite all that drama the four have all happily moved on.

Justin has since married actor Jessica Biel and together they have one son, Ryan and his partner Eva Mendes have two daughters together, and Christina is engaged to producer Matthew Rutler.
