Another day, another episode of The Bachelor and today we were fortunate (or unfortunate) enough to witness the classic group photoshoot date. It’s 30 minutes of my life I’ll never get back, but it was worth it for the incredible memes that have come out of it.
I truly love the photoshoot group dates, because you really get an understanding of who the producers think are frontrunners and who are just collateral damage based on their costume choice.

Personally, I’d take being a background lobster over having to look longingly into Jimmy Nicholson‘s eyes for more than five seconds. No offence to Jimmy at all, but those ‘romantic’ photoshoots have school play energy, and that would simply bring up too much childhood trauma for me.

Arguably the best part of that Bachelor episode was chaos-queen Belinda shouting “is my vagina showing” and then proceeding to fondle Jimmy’s gooch like it’s the bottom of a Doritos’ packet. That’s the kind of energy I expect to see in 2021, not ‘falling’ for a guy after talking to him for five minutes.

Then of course, you have the classic ‘sexy’ photoshoot which is always with the youngest blonde in the pack. Behold: 23 year old Lily, who should definitely be chewing her cheeks off at Revs and not planning a future with a 31-year-old pilot.

It’s not easy wearing a ridiculous costume either, when I was 15 I had to put on a giant cat costume while working at a kid’s play centre. One time, the parents disappeared and the kids just started beating the shit out of me. I was balling my eyes out inside a cat costume, while kids kicked me in the shins. It was definitely a low point for me.
