Miley Cyrus Is Feuding With An Instagram Cake Account And It’s Literally Cooked

Miley Cyrus has feuded with everyone from Nicki Minaj to Tyra Banks (or was that Hannah Montana? Same same IMO), and her latest feud is with… an Instagram baker?

The singer has been very vocal about her disdain for the Alabama State Senate’s restrictive abortion law known as HB314 and she recently teamed up with Planned Parenthood and Marc Jacobs on a campaign to fight the proposition.

After sharing the first pic from the campaign, a popular Insta account known as The Sweet Feminist hit out at Cyrus for stealing her cake design.

“Miley Cyrus just announced a collaboration with @marcjacobs @plannedparenthood @happyhippiefdn using this image,” she captioned a reshare of Miley’s photo.

“It is a direct theft of my own original art work from May 2018, with no credit. It’s literally my exact handwriting, message, and concept. Swipe for comparison! Cake art is for everyone, but this is inexcusable.”

Miley then left the following comment to apologise and promised to tag her as credit for her design:

“Hi, we saw the image online and didn’t realise it was yours. We will absolutely tag you for your work. It is just on the post and not on the merchandise but we will absolutely tag you and give you the credit for your art. If you could please correct your post, as we’re going to make sure you have all the credit you deserve … thanks for sharing your art and inspiring us.”

Despite keeping her promise and tagging the baker in her post, this wasn’t enough to rectify the situation and the cake artist, Becca Rea-Holloway, did not back down.

“It doesn’t doesn’t change the fact that my work was used without my consent and it is not sufficient,” she replied. “This is not ‘inspiration’, it’s theft.”

The baker also claimed she has gotten “hundreds of threatening, horrible comments” from Cyrus’ followers since going public with her complaint.
