Yesterday, Miley Cyrus made international headlines after a disturbing video did the ’rounds online of a fan groping her in Barcelona.

The singer was visiting with husband Liam Hemsworth and as the pair made their way to their vehicle through a path of screaming fans, some guy tried to grab her by her hair but when he failed, he put his arm around her neck, almost in a headlock, and kissed her before being stopped by security.

Now, Miley has taken to her Instagram Story to react to the incident which should be considered straight up assault.
Cyrus shared the footage on Insta accompanied by the following caption:
“She can be wearing what she wants. She can be a virgin. She can be sleeping with five different people. She can be with her husband. She can be with her girlfriend. She can be naked. She CAN’T be grabbed without her consent. #DontFuckWithMyFreedom.”
Props to Miley for using the attack as a teaching moment and reminding fans what consent means.
