The Love Island Producers Are Done W/ Normies & Are Chasing Influencers And Bachie Stars For S3

There’s a new season of Love Island Australia on its way and producers are despo to get folks to sign up.

According to the new episode of the So Dramatic! podcast, producers were recently swanning around Bondi cafes handing out business cards (who the heck uses those anymore?), asking local hot people to pls pls pls sign up.

A model phoned in to the podcast and revealed that they’ve also been sliding into her DMs and pestering her. Then after she said fuck no, they called up her agent and told them that she should defs do it as it would be a great career move but they fobbed them off.

But get this, the Love Island producers have also apparently hit up a bunch of famous folk and asked them to get involved, which is odd because they usually cast unknowns.

The podcast reports that The Bachelor stars Leilani Vakaahi, Laura Calleri, Shannon Karaka and Nick Chamberlain have all been approached, along with Newcastle Knights player Connor Watson and meme queen Winnie Blues.

Leilani Vakaahi starred in season 8 of The Bachelor.

Laura Calleri starred in last year’s season of The Bachelor.

Nick Chamberlain starred in last year’s season of The Bachelorette.

Shannon Karaka starred in last year’s season of The Bachelorette and has been a prime pick for The Bachelor.

Connor Watson plays on the Newcastle Knights.

Winnie Blues is an absolute meme queen who did not, I repeat, did NOT sleep with Zac Efron, despite reports.

Again, Love Island usually casts unknown so it’d be interesting to see a slew of influencers and ex reality stars heading down to the villa but, I mean, stranger things have happened, right?

They also recently put out an Instagram call-out, asking folks to apply, writing: “Know someone who has officially exhausted their dating pool? Nothing says friendship like tagging them in a Love Island Australia casting callout.”

Have a listen to the full ep here.
