British Fans Admit Our ‘Love Island’ Tops Theirs After Last Night’s Barney

I’ll be honest, when it was first announced that the UK’s Love Island was getting an Aussie rendition I was V. skeptical, to say the absolute least.

I assumed that we were in for a piss poor take on the reality TV ~*gold*~ that the Brits have been dishing out for years, complete with hunky Georgies, baben’ Scouses and dramatic as fuck storylines told from OTT but extremely intoxicating accents.

But after careful observation, I’ve been pleasantly surprised to learn that the Aussies know how to entertain the hell out of their viewers and last night’s ep was a primary example of this.

Following the controversial elimination of gorgeous angel Justin Lacko, the islanders engaged in some dramatic back and forth about his departure and lemme tell ya, things got pretty heated!

Tayla was running her mouth, Millie was a wreck and one of the blokes almost ended up in the pool in what was a very Aussie-certified biff that managed to draw international attention from the home of Love Island: The UK.

Twitter Moments picked up on the fact that loads of overseas viewers were commenting on what was going down on Australian screens with some even noting that our rendition trumps the UK version.

British sites like Metro and Express even felt the need to publish articles that answered the much Google searched question: ‘How can I watch Love Island Australia in the UK?’

Now feel your Aussie heart fill with pride as you suss out the best UK Twitter takes on our very own Love Island:
