A beautiful dachshund by the name of Rolo has sprained his tale from [checks notes] “excessively wagging it” from excitement over his family being home in self-isolation.

Seven-year-old Rolo, who hails from the UK, has gone viral this past week because of how utterly pure and wholesome and good his story is. And at a time like this, during a pandemic, we need good news.

“So my dog has been so happy that everyone is home for quarantine, that his tail has stopped working, so we went to the vet and the vet said ‘he had sprained his tail from excessively wagging it’,” his human Emma Smith shared on Twitter. Said tweet has since racked up one million likes and over 140,000 retweets.

Genuinely shocked her tweet went boonta, Smith followed it up with a video of Rolo and his slack tail.

“For those asking, he is currently on pain relief and the vet said he should be healed within a week, this is him on the 2nd day,” she shared. “He is super happy and there is now movement from side to side but he is struggling to lift it up in the air.”

With how instantly popular Rolo became, his family decided to create an Instagram account for him so that everyone emotionally invested (me) could join him on his journey to getting his wag back. On it, you can find pictures of Rolo when he was a handsome young pup and the latest news on his tail.

“Day 6,” read Rolo’s most recent update, “I am still on my meds but my wag is almost back to its full wagability!!”

To conclude this yarn, I leave you with these blessed pictures of baby Rolo.
