Angel Boi Josh Thomas’ New Comedy Show ‘Everything’s Gonna Be Okay’ Is Coming To Stan

The streaming kings over at Stan have always fostered great Aussie talent, hell, just look at the plethora of Stan Original Series out now / on their way later this summer i.e. The Other Guy (now streaming, BTW!), The Commons and The Gloaming.

And today they’ve announced that they’ve exclusively claimed hit comedian Josh Thomas’ new series Everything’s Gonna Be Okay.

Following on from the success of his International Emmy-nominated series Please Like Me, Thomas is back with a brand new 10-episode comedy banger.

Set and filmed in the U.S., Josh once again takes on the multifaceted role of creator, writer, executive producer and lead star of the show.

He plays Nicholas, who Stan describes as “a neurotic twenty-something-year-old visiting his dad and teenage half-sisters – one of whom is on the autism spectrum.”

When Nicholas’ trip is extended due to his father’s untimely death, the siblings are left to cope with not only a devastating loss, but also the realisation that Nicholas is the one who will have to rise to the occasion, move in, and hold it all together.

Thomas was stoked to find a home for his new series in Stan, telling the brand: Finding an Australian home for Everything’s Gonna Be Okay that could air the episodes at the same time as the US was super important to me and I’m just so glad we found that in Stan, alongside their other cool, boundary pushing offerings.”

Everything’s Gonna Be Okay premieres exclusively on Stan on 17 January, same day as the U.S., with new episodes weekly.
