Last night, the premiere of Crikey! It’s the Irwins hit Animal Planet in the United States and immediately, lots of tears were shed.
In the series, Terri, Robert, Bindi, and her boyfriend Chandler Powell guide animal lovers through life at Australia Zoo.
Just in episode one, fans were treated to baby koalas, a wombat in a wagon, and Robert – 14-years-old – hand feeding the most infamous croc at Australia Zoo, ol’ mate Graham.
On his Instagram, Robert said: “It’s wonderful to follow in my dad’s footsteps to educate people about these modern-day dinosaurs! Can’t wait!!!”
Animal Planet shared a snippet of the series to their Twitter account and look, I would be lying if I didn’t tear up a bit.
“I just wanted to be just like that, I wanted to be catching snakes and wrangling crocodiles. Dad was very kind, he started me off slow, I was the gecko hunter to begin with and then I worked my way up to snakes and things,” Bindi says.
We couldn’t be more proud of the woman @BindiIrwin has become! You’ll be too when Crikey! It’s #TheIrwins premieres TONIGHT at 8pm. pic.twitter.com/eOyJlC4MNk

Just before the premiere, Animal Planet aired The Steve Irwin Story special which celebrated the life and work of the legendary conservationist.
To promote the special, Robert shared a beautiful family photo that will no doubt obliterate your heart even more.
Bindi also posted a beautiful tribute to her father: “Our journey has been filled with so many beautiful, heartbreaking, life-changing moments.”
My heart is so incredibly full.
In Australia, you can catch the premiere of Crikey! It’s the Irwins at 6:30pm, Saturday November 3, on Animal Planet.
On Twitter, fans took a moment to share just how much the very first episode meant to them. And, as you can expect, they all absolutely loved it.
5 seconds in, and I’m already crying. My bottom lip is trembling as I watch this first episode of Crikey! It’s the Irwins. Steven Irwin was my biggest hero growing up, and when he passed, I was just devestated. And to find out his kids are keeping his legacy going is just amazing
