‘Crikey! It’s The Irwins’ Will Continue Steve’s Legacy For A 2nd Season

Crikey! It’s the Irwins has been renewed for a second season, Robert Irwin announced on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon last night.

In the series, Terri, Robert, Bindi, and her boyfriend Chandler Powell educate their viewers about their conservation efforts and general life at the Australia Zoo. 

Season one introduced their global audience to a giraffe named Scarlett, a rescue koala, and Graham, the notorious crocodile originally rescued by legendary conservationist Steve Irwin in 1988.

“Crikey! It’s the Irwins, it’s official, season two is happening,” Robert announced on the show. As always, he also introduced Fallon to some absolute cutie patooties including a baby camel named Wednesday, adorable African serval kittens, a sugar glider, and some peppered cockroaches – big cockroaches.

On Twitter, the quality photographer also shared the exciting news that Crikey! It’s the Irwins was the “biggest globally launched show on Animal Planet.” 

Per MediaWeekthe series pulled in an estimated global audience of 36.2 million.

Meanwhile on Instagram, his sister Bindi spread the news with a sweet picture of her dad.

“We are so excited to announce that this year will bring season TWO of Crikey! It’s The Irwins with Animal Planet,” Bindi wrote. “It is such a blessing to share our journey and continue Dad’s legacy. I feel like he is walking beside us every day we film this wonderful show.” 

The season one finale of Crikey! It’s the Irwins will air in Australia on Animal Planet come Saturday 2 February at 6:30pm.
