If there’s anything that’s going make this next week in life-at-home isolation go somewhat quicker, it’s knowing that we’ve got a four day weekend coming up (lol, as if that even matters anymore) BUT it’s also Easter which means bulk treats. And you know what’s happening for us lucky shits in Melbourne? Lune Croissanterie is bringing back its crumbly and delicious hybrid-of-a-hybrid Hot Cross Cruffins.
Not yet available to pre-order but have definitely been discussed on their Instagram today, the delicious little flaky treats (that are what would happen if a hot cross bun, a croissant, and a muffin all got together and put a bun in the oven) will be back for four days only (!!!) this Easter. Sweet mother of God I am ready for this. I yearn deep in my soul to Consume The Hybrid Bun.

Oh my God they look so good. Those delicious, crumbly, flaky HCCs could take my entire wallet and personal possessions and I wouldn’t say no. These pastries could kick me square in the guts and I’d go back for more.
Obviously, with the shutdowns, Lune is still operating in the CBD and Fitzroy as takeaway only, and you can now order online for contactless delivery. Heads up that if you want a delivery of precious treats dropped at your door, you need to order a minimum for $50 worth of pastries but looking at these delicious babies, I’m gonna say that’s not gonna be too hard to do.
