Wildly Popular ‘PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds’ Could Be Heading To The PS4

It’s still in early access on Steam, but that hasn’t stopped PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds from becoming one of 2017’s biggest games. Not only has it sold massively, it also overtook Valve‘s Dota 2 in terms of having the most concurrent players on the PC platform

While Microsoft have already confirmed the title will be appearing on the Xbox One, PUBG’s publisher, Bluehole, has confirmed they’re currently “in talks” with Sony for a PS4 release. Given its colossal success on PC so far, you can see why console makers are chomping at the bit to have the game on their respective platforms.

Bluehole’s founder, Chang Byung-gyu, told Bloomberg the company “has had talks with all of the major console companies”, but specifically mentioned the possibility of a PlayStation release after the full PC and Xbox versions hit consumers.

Of course, nothing’s been confirmed just yet, but it would be pretty weird for Sony to turn down what will likely be the best-selling game of the year. It’s also worth nothing the mention of talks with “all” major console makers. Could the Nintendo Switch get its own version of the game? I’d play the shit outta some portable PUBG.

The full version of the multiplayer shooter is expected to be released before the end of the year on Xbox and PC, but of course, you can get it while it’s still in early access on Steam. Fight me in Pochinki, losers.
