The long-awaited second map coming to the insanely popular shooter, PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds will be making its debut on Thursday the 7th of December.
For the uninitiated, PUBG is a game that throws 100 players into an 8km x 8km map and forces them into an increasingly smaller circle where the last man / team standing wins. It’s a tense and goddamn thrilling experience.
Unlike the game’s current and only map, Erangel, the new arena is set in a desert containing a bunch of small cities and towns. The map will be seen in action for the first time during next week’s Game Awards in the US.

The map was first revealed in July with a number of screenshots emerging earlier this month. Desert land (that’s what I’m calling it) is the first of two new maps, the second being an island set in the Adriatic Sea.
If you wanna watch that shit live, the Game Awards airs at 12:30pm on December 8, AEDT.
