Don’t lie – when a celebrity, especially one who has a form of iconic style, dons an item of clothing and you find out where you can get it, you’re intrigued.
At the very least you’re mildly taking notice. And when that item of clothing is a basic? As in, anyone who reps any style can incorporate it into their wardrobe? Oh man, it’s fucking on.
That’s what’s happened today with Meghan Markle‘s jeans that she wore on a trip to Cardiff. Look, they’re good jeans – I’ll give her that.
I mean, they’re… jeans. They look good. But not anything amazing?
Still, the fact Meghan wore them has meant the brand’s entirely sold out of stock – and there’s not a 3 month wait for the pants, if you want ’em.
That’s them on a model, btw. They’re from Welsh brand Hiut Denim Co, and they’re called ‘The Dina’. Yes, you can order them to Australia and the shipping isn’t even madness.
Obviously, they don’t come cheap. They’ll set you back a strong $321 AUD, in fact.
The story has a cute ending, though. See, Hiut Denim Co is based in the small town of Cardigan, and they basically re-opened a closed denim factory and brought jobs to a town that was full of talented workers. Now that this pair of pants has gone gangbusters, they’ve apparently had to move to a larger factory and put on extra staff to deal with the influx of sales.
In short – if you’re a business with a killer product, send it to Meghan Markle, would ya?
