WATCH: Tony Stark Goes Dad-Mode In The New ‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’ Trailer

Alright. We’re suddenly very interested in this.
After many years of legal hot-stepping between Sony Pictures and Marvel, we’ve finally got ourselves a ‘Spider-Man‘ film that sits inside the greater Marvel Cinematic Universe.
The rebooted reboot puts Spidey firmly back in the crosshairs of the Avengers, and recently released promo images have all features Stark Tower prominently in the New York City skyline.
The new trailer, released overnight, doubles down on that by shoving a maximum amount of Iron Man into proceedings. And it uh… it looks pretty dang badass.
The new film, ‘Spider-Man: Homecoming,’ follows a high school-age balancing life as a teen with the rigours of being, y’know, Spider-Man with help from old mate Tony Stark and hinderance from Michael Keaton as Vulture, which has enough bat-like wings in it to suggest that Keaton’s Bruce Wayne has finally gone full bung in his old age.
The trailer’s full of hits and action, including Spidey trying to hold together a sliced in twain Staten Island Ferry, which has long suffered the indignity of being a passed-over NYC landmark ripe for cinematic destruction.

Frankly, it looks like ‘Kick-Ass‘ with a $200million budget. None of that is a bad thing.
The film stars Tom Holland as Spidey himself, alongside Robert Downey Jr. and Michael Keaton. Zendaya, Donald Glover, Jacob Batalon, Laura Harrier, Tony Revolori, and Marisa Tomei round out the cast.
Former Onion News Network director Jon Watts is manning the director’s chair.
The film is scheduled for release on July 6th.
