The New ‘Spider-Man: Far From Home’ Trailer Picks Up Where ‘Endgame’ Left Off

Peter Parker (Tom Holland) is here to save the day, and so is Jake Gyllenhaal’s Mysterio, for that matter, in the new trailer for Spider-Man: Far From Home.

The flick notably picks up right where Avengers: Endgame left off as Peter is mourning the death of his mentor and pseudo-father figure, Tony Stark.

“I just really miss him,” a teary Peter Parker says to Harold “Happy” Hogan (Jon Favreau) who responds, “Yeah, I miss him too.”

He adds, “I don’t think Tony would have done what he did if he didn’t know you were going to be here after he was gone.”

In an attempt to fill the now empty shoes of Earth’s best defender, Parker takes on new responsibilities such as working with Nick Fury and protecting New York from various evil forces.

While on a field trip to Italy, he comes across Gyllenhaal’s character who gives the young hero some extremely morbid advice: “Saving the world requires sacrifices, sometimes people die.”

“The world needs the next Iron Man,” Parker insists, before we’re shown a shrine to the fallen hero.

The film stars Holland, Gyllenhaal and Favreau along with Samuel L. Jackson, Zendaya, Cobie Smulders, JB Smoove, Jacob Batalon, Martin Starr and Marisa Tomei.

Suss out the trailer below and catch the flick when it hits cinemas on July 1.
