Adam Scott Chokes Away The British Open [Devastating]

Australia’s world number six ranked golfer Adam Scott (not to be confused with the adorable Parks and Rec actor of the same name) has been inducted into the choke job hall of fame today after relinquishing a four stroke lead with four holes remaining at the British Open in Lancashire.

“I am pretty disappointed,” he said. “I managed to hit a poor shot on each of the closing four holes. I am disappointed after playing so beautifully for most of the week but I shall not let this bring me down.”

Scott dominated play from the outset shooting a six under par 64 to take a one stroke lead after the first round of play. Consistent rounds of 67 and 68 extended his lead to four strokes going into the final round, an advantage he would hold until the 15th hole when a horror run of four consecutive bogeys (including an egregious three foot missfire on the 16th) gifted a one stroke victory to South African journeyman Ernie Els. Scott, whose horrific back nine collapse recalled choke-prone compatriot Greg Norman, needed a ten foot putt to save par and force a playoff. This is what happened…

Here is Keanu Reeves explaining what happened.
