Victorian Man Fined For Driving Esky Without License

In a news story that captures the essence of our fair nation so perfectly that it leaves us almost speechless in awe, a Victorian man as been fined and had his motorised esky confiscated for driving it without a license.

ABC News report that the 29-year-old man and his 49cc beast of an esky were intercepted by police on the Mornington Peninsula yesterday afternoon. He was found to be driving “on the footpath and without a license.”
The man was fined a frankly un-Australian $1499 for driving an unregistered recreational vehicle on council land, and reportedly did not have a license to drive it “or any other vehicle.”
The esky was impounded for 30 days, but the story of this brave soul, another in a long line of Aussies who just wanted to get from point a to point b as recklessly as possible in a glorified go-kart chock full of piss, will live on forever.
