Questionable structural integrity seems to be a running theme in today’s local news, as reports came in about a massive fire that broke out in a Gold Coast apartment, requiring the evacuation of 1,000 Schoolies-goers from the building and the grotesque Western-themed nightclub next door, Shooters.
Queensland Police reported that the blaze caused the collapse of the entrance to Shooters, but thankfully no one was seriously injured as a result of the fire and no one was taken to hospital.
Several evacuees spent the evening at the Surfers Paradise police station, while some reckless c*nts with kebabs continued the revelry.
