KFC Thinks Outside The Bucket, Launches ‘Zinger Pie’

Nothing gets the people going like limited edition fast food flavour combinations.

You may remember the time KFC launched, then relaunched one of the few foods eaten solely for novelty value, the calorific bunless chicken-bacon-chicken abomination known as The Double.

Once again KFC have thought outside the bucket, imagined the unimaginable, and reinvented snack food forever with the most groundbreaking and original concept we’ve ever heard: a chicken pie! After a trial run at a few select outlets earlier in the year, KFC have
launched their Zinger Pie nationwide – because the only thing
better that two things that are bad for you separately is two things
that are bad for you forged into one!

KFC’s Zinger Pie is advertised as having “Tender Chicken Breast, Crispy Puff Pastry and Plenty Of Kick”. While we’re yet to hear what former animal rights activist, now fried chicken enthusiast Joel Madden thinks of the treat, the public response has been mixed, with some commenters on KFC’s Facebook page praising the the pastry:

While others are outraged that a $3.95 pie from a major fast food chain made by a pimply teenager on minimum wage isn’t the three-hat gourmet delight they expected it to be:

At least everyone seems to agree that the pie lives up to it’s spicy ‘Zinger’ title, so be careful when you munch: We all know what a spicy pie can do to you.
