Will Connolly, known simply as Egg Boy, appeared at Labor HQ in Melbourne tonight as… we… uh, wait for the inevitable.

Connolly went globally viral after he smashed an egg on the head of Fraser Anning, following the senator’s response to the murder of 51 people in the Christchurch terror attacks. In the days following, his Instagram follower count rose to over 500,000 people, he was offered lifetime tickets to the Rolling Loud and The Mountain Goats festivals, and The Living End and The Amity Affliction offered the lad free passes too. The footage of said egging also inspired remixes, memes, shirts, and murals.
According to journos on ground, the media weren’t allowed to speak to Connolly but that didn’t stop the countless snaps.

Since his rise to internet fame, Connolly has just simply gotten on with life. He recently sat down with Homie – a nonprofit streetwear organisation dedicated to tackling youth homelessness – and spread some Easter cheer.
