Briggs Visited ‘Springfield’ W/ Matt Groening ‘Cos The Dude Is Unstoppable

When it was first announced that Adam Briggs would be a writer on Matt Groening’s new Netflix series Disenchantment, it seemed the Aussie rapper, record label owner, and comedy godsend was living in bloody wonderland.

Two months later, it turns out he still is.

Seeing as he’s now entered the inner sanctum of The Simpsons-affiliated folks, Briggs made an appearance at the mammoth Season 29 premiere party at Universal Studios in Hollywood on Sunday. His social media posts of the event have been an absolute blessing.

Cop this shot of himself and a fella he’s legitimately on a first-name basis with:

And this, with Futurama co-creator David X Cohen:

Aaaaand this, with an honest-to-God comedy legend:

Goddamn right, this is what one of Australia’s most talented blokes deserves.

Groening says “Disenchantment will be about life and death, love and sex, and how to keep laughing in a world full of suffering and idiots”. It may take a little while for Briggs to get into that headspace though, ‘cos for the time being, he seems absolutely stoked.

For the time being, at least.
