A 32-year-old man in Adelaide has been arrested by police after he was caught using a steel pan in place of his car’s steering wheel while driving about the CBD yesterday.

The car, maybe unsurprisingly, was also uninsured and unregistered. We’ve all scraped our car past regulations using a dodgy mechanic, but it seems unlikely that one would let the ole pizza-pan-car-wheel flimflam past.
The pan appears to have written on it “UNCONTROLLABLE AND DRIVEN TO LOVE ONLY BEATING HEART” and “RIP”.
The bloke has been charged with driving unregistered, driving uninsured, driving contrary to defect, removing a defect label, altering a number plate and breaching bail. The car has been impounded for 28 days.
