
The South Australian Police bomb squad has detonated a device at the Elizabeth Shopping Centre.

The suspicious device was found earlier this afternoon and caused a full evacuation of the northern suburbs shopping centre shortly before closing time.
Earlier, media personnel were instructed to move away from a cordoned-off section of the car park as the bomb squad conducted its investigation.
Metropolitan Fire Service and State Emergency Service personnel are also on the scene

Police have confirmed a man was arrested at the scene. He was found to be in possession of a backpack containing the suspicious device, along with several other items of interest.
