Whether you like it or not, it’s absolutely been the Summer of Noll. The Nollaissance. The Shannon and On and On and On.
Public interest in the man who was summarily robbed of the inaugural Australian Idol crown back in 2003 has never been higher than it has this past few months, thanks in large part to all of you internet jokes continually bringing him back to the surface of public conversation. And now the Condobolin ledge himself is riding an all-new wave of momentum.
Though a petition to get Nollsy onto the bill of Groovin The Moo failed at the most important hurdle, that hasn’t stopped people trying to back him in. And as such, a whole new petition has emerged that would put our gr8 m8 on a stage the likes of which even he hasn’t seen in his career.
With Australia officially back in for Eurovision 2016, the hunt is well and truly on for a representative to send to Vienna. And one Change.org petition would very much like that to be Nollsy this year.
Think about it. It’s actually perfect. He follows in the footsteps of Guy Sebastian, much like he did at the onset of his career. But this time, things could be different. This time he could go one better.
This time he could beat Sebastian’s effort from last year and finally reclaim the win that was rightfully his from all those years ago!
It’s a plan genius in its simplicity. It really is.
You know it’s the right thing to do, Australia.
