Spotify & Jimmy Brings Team Up To Pair Music Playlists To Your Plonk

Here’s a bloody fun one – booze delivery lords Jimmy Brings and your party playlist people Spotify have teamed up to create playlists that pair perfectly with your favourite drop of plonk, featuring microgenres that are as varied and nuanced as the grape varietals in your glass.

The Songmelier Series is a limited edition bundle of wines that folks in Sydney and Melbourne can get delivered – an Australian sparkling, a sauvignon blanc and a reserve shiraz – each with their own unique playlist curated by Spotify that blends in beautifully with each drop.

The sparkling is beautifully matched with notes of bubblegum trap, West Coast hustle & grind, and hip-hop like DrakeOutKast, and Jurassic 5, while the savvy b will have you nodding along to a zesty collection of tropical house, indie, and aussietronica like Winston Surfshirt and Boo Seeka, and finally the Shiraz is paired with jazz, soft freak folk, rock n’ roll and deep house to really round out the aural palate – think Methyl EthelDusty SpringfieldJosé González, and xJK.

The only way you can directly access the playlists on your Spotify app is to scan the codes on each bottle, and then pop the top off the wine and go to town.

Wine and music lovers can order the trio of plonk for $59.99 from Jimmy Brings in Sydney and Melbourne as of today, but they’re a limited run so don’t faff around.
