I know, I know — every week there seems to be another Spice Girls reunion rumour. It’s cruel and unusual punishment and frankly my Spice Girls-loving heart can’t take much more of it.
The latest whispers out of the UK — courtesy of tabloid The Sun, so do with that detail what you will — are saying that 80% of the Spice Girls (so, everyone but Posh Spice / Victoria Beckham) will be reunited for a painfully short 13-date reunion tour next year.
The catch? It is only happening in the UK, so you best make sure your passport is still valid and start squirrelling away some precious pounds.
The Sun reports that the tour is masterminded by the group’s founder, music mogul Simon Fuller and will conclude with 3 shows at London‘s massive Wembley Stadium.
A source told the outlet:
After much to’ing and fro’ing, a deal has been signed, and an official announcement will be made soon. The girls can’t wait to go back on tour, perform to the fans and sing some of their greatest hits.
Hmm. I’ll believe it when I see it.
But you best believe that when I do see it, I’ll be booking a flight quicker than you can sing “Say You’ll be There”.
