Megan Washington Joins Keith Urban and Seal As Mentor On ‘The Voice’

Holy Moses it has been a truly awefulsome week for Australian television programming and it’s only Wednesday. We’ve seen the announcement that an international, ex-reality show boy-band will headline a local television event (making so much sense), and we’ve studied the mugshots that will form the lineup of 2012’s Dancing With The Stars cast under the dimly glowing dressing room lights of Australia’s C-list celebrities. Today we’ve got some more perplexing – maybe even promising? – news concerning the cast of The Voice Australia.

Megan Washington, who you’ll know as the insomniac avant-pop songstress behind this gem, has joined The Voice as the mentoring companion to Keith Urban. Meg joins other mentors including the insatiably wannabe-popular Darren Hayes (who’ll partner up with Delta Goodrem), the untouchable Ricki-Lee Coulter (who’ll slide in next to Seal) and the rich and famous lifestyler Benji Madden (who’ll bro down with the other Madden, Joel).

If anybody sings that John Farnham song – or even worse, if they all sing that John Farnham song with John Farnham – I don’t know what I’ll do. Nothing actually – I probably won’t watch it in the first place. Happy mentoring Meg!
