Beyoncé and Jay-Z have collaborated on a number of successful projects together, including celebrated track ‘Drunk In Love’, and celebrated toddler Blue Ivy Carter.
At last night’s Grammys, the pair picked up an award for Best R&B Performance for the former, however, if Detail is to be believed, the pair might have a lot more music coming your way in fairly short order.
MTV News report that, during a red carpet interview, the ‘Drunk In Love’ producer casually let slip what you would assume to be fairly sensitive information about the pair’s long-rumoured collaborative album.
“I’m working with a couple of new projects that I don’t want to unveil, and then me and Beyoncé and Jay Z are actually doing something together this year,” he said.
When pressed as to what it might be, he ummed and ahhed for a bit, then said: “When you think of Jay and Bey together, you think ‘album’ … you should already know.”
The stunned interviewer then asked if said record might be coming out this year. “In my imaginary mind, I will work to say it’s true,” Detail replied.
Detail and his imaginary mind might be getting a visit from The Beygency fairly soon, but that aside, we will await further word of this album with every fiber of our being.
