One of the great joys of Grand Theft Auto V is enacting insane amounts of horrible violence while bopping along to the game’s incredibly good and diverse in-game soundtrack. Mowing down pedestrians at Del Perro Pier to All Saints? Hell yeah. Pointing a golf cart off the bridge of Old Man’s Crack and watching it bounce down Mount Chiliad while Willie Nelson blares? You beauty. Hurling sticky bombs out the window of a stolen Infernus hurtling down the freeway as the sax solo from Baker Street paints over a glorious Los Santos sunset? Buddy, that’s sheer joy right there.
So while most of the constant stream of updates the Rockstar Games team has added to the game focuses on the death and destruction part, your old mate Frank Ocean just up and dropped a little flavour to the great state of San Andreas that’ll make your next 5-star escape smooth as hell.
Ocean quietly dropped an entire radio station inside the game – entitled Blonded Los Santos 97.8FM – as part of the game’s new Doomsday Heist online update. And mates? It cranks. It absolutely cranks.
The station features GTA’s usual-style hilarious banter in-between songs, but the list of tunes featured on the station is curated head-to-toe by Ocean, and it is full of bangers.
