Ye Olde Ratdog Alex Dyson & Kyran Wheatley Have Launched A Podcast

They may have both been off the official Triple J airwaves for a hot little while now but the pull of talking shit into a microphone has proven far too strong for your old mates Alex Dyson and Kyran Wheatley.

The dynamic duo just announced they’re launching a brand new podcast together called Mirth, dropping a teaser for the upcoming series earlier today.

What’s it about? Hard to say. The lads are remaining coy for the time being. Although per the official podcast description, Dyson and Wheatley will “try to create a comedy podcast devoid of faff and untainted by triviality, and miss by a long shot. Like, not even close.

Interestingly enough, the announcement of the podcast also comes with the teaser that the pair will soon open some sort of associated bar. Which seems like a hell of a lot of work for a bit, but we’re certainly not about to stop them.

The location and details of said bar are currently a closely-guarded secret, but it will be somewhere in Melbourne and seems like it will tie into the upcoming Melbourne International Comedy Festival in some way.

The podcast itself will be releasing daily episodes during the Comedy Festival, and will feature a variety of guests and performers from the festival itself.

The first full episode of Mirth is set to arrive on Wednesday March 25th. You can wrap your ears around the podcast preview below.

That’s all we know. You can stay abreast of all the podcast/bar-related updates via the Mirth page right here.
